Densitron Introduces Proprietary Evaluation Kit for Character OLED Displays

A powerful and user-friendly evaluation kit for Character OLED displays is now available from Densitron (Europe). The new demonstration tool can drive OLED displays from the USB port of a desktop or laptop PC and automatically detects a connected display to customise initialisation.

Each Kit comes with an OLED display, a USB controller card, a mini USB cable, an interchangeable OLED display card, and a CD with software applications and drivers. The Kit is hot pluggable and does not require extra power supply to run, allowing quick download of pictures and creation of slide shows for immediate demonstration. Users can easily send register commands to the driver IC through a script file or command line interface.

Displays supported by the new Kit include Densitron’s 2x16 (DD-2C16xx-1A) and 2x20 (DD-2C20xx-1A) standard Character OLEDs which are available in yellow and white. Red, blue and green colours can also be customized. The displays offer standard interface options of 8 bit and SPI. They are available as glass-only modules or with a PCB similar to that used by a Mono LCD (COB type). The Character OLEDs are compatible with VFD displays.
