Custom service helps users add colour to mono displays

Custom service helps users add colour to mono displays
Anders Electronics has further expanded its display design and engineering capabilities by launching a new service that allows the company to cost-effectively add a variety of colour options to standard monochrome displays. Believed to be the industry’s first service of its type, Anders’ M2C (mono-to-colour) custom offering is ideal for customers who want to employ colour to optimise the user machine relationship (UMR), but for whom migration to TFT LCDs is not a commercially viable option. The service is fully compatible with a wide range of display technologies and is suitable for even low-volume production.

Filament bulb replacement LEDs

Filament bulb replacement LEDs
Marl has extended its range of filament bulb replacement LEDs, adding both lower and higher voltages to its standard catalogue. LEDs are said to use around 70% less energy than filament bulbs, and are maintenance free since their service life is normally greater than the life of the system into which they are fitted.

Small Diameter Sealed LEDs For Tough Equipment Applications

The CS Series LEDs from Cynergistic Technologies Ltd provide a small diameter indicator for tough applications and water-tight usage. Specially designed with a neoprene gasket/washer to seal against water ingress, the CS LEDs feature a drop-in fit for a standard small size 6mm diameter hole. For greater stability than a snap-in design, the CS LEDs offer secure and easy fastening with hex nuts and spacers for panel mount applications. Made with a tough reflective, nickel-plated brass housing, the LEDs are ideal for control panels, instrumentation and front panel fault indicators that are exposed to harsh environmental conditions.

NEC LCD Technologies to Enhance Line-up of LCD Modules With White LED Backlight System Through Launch of Two New TFT LCD Modules

NEC LCD Technologies to Enhance Line-up of LCD Modules With White LED Backlight System Through Launch of Two New TFT LCD Modules
NEC LCD Technologies today introduced two new 6.5-inch (17cm-diagonal) amorphous-silicon thin-film-transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) modules with high luminance and video graphics array (VGA) resolution. The modules, part number NL6448BC20-21C and NL6448BC20-21D, eliminate the need for an inverter circuit by employing white light emitting diodes (LEDs) for the backlight system, instead of the cold-cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) that are traditionally used. The white LED backlight system achieves low power consumption in a slim package that, while lightweight, is highly resistant to shock and vibration, making it ideal for use in portable display systems in industrial applications.
