5.7" TFT display enables high brightness

Industrial LCD manufacturer KOE have announced the introduction of a 5.7" TFT display module. The TX14D23VM12BAB features VGA (640 x 480 pixels) resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, a high brightness LED backlight and is mechanically compatible with other 5.7" TFT displays available from KOE.

Excellent optical performance is ensured and display images are bright, clear and concise due to a contrast ratio of 600:1 and a high brightness specification rating of 1000cd/m². The white LED backlight has a half brightness lifetime of 40K hours.

Mark Stephenson, General Manager, KOE Europe, said, "The 5.7" TFT display is used by a large, established customer base and has been a de-facto industry display standard for many years. Adding a 5.7" module to the existing product portfolio enhances our ability to service and maintain not only existing customers but also realise new design-in opportunities. The 5.7" VGA TFT module is specified with a brightness rating of 1000nits which ensures that a high quality display image readability is maintained under all viewing conditions."

A 40-pin CMOS data interface supports 6-bit RGB which enables a colour palette of up to 262K colours. The 5.7" module has mechanical outline dimensions of 131.0x102.2x7.6mm. The active display area is 115.2x86.4mm. The display has an operating and storage temperature range of -30 to +80°C

Applications such as ticketing machines, point of sale terminals and public information displays are often found in high brightness environments. KOE's 5.7" TFT product line-up feature high brightness LED backlights and high contrast ratios to provide strong optical performance and the ability to be easily viewed under bright ambient light conditions.

The 5.7" TX14D23VM1BAB TFT display module which also suitable for medical, marine, process control, gaming and industrial applications is supplied through KOE Europe's distribution partners and is available across Europe immediately.
