Solution kit accelerates HMI application development
Based on the company's RZ/A1 family of embedded MPUs, the 'Display it! – RZ HMI Solution Kit' has been introduced by Renesas. Accelerating prototyping and decision-making processes, the solution kit enables engineers to quickly evaluate and demonstrate the leading HMI tools in the industry.
The kit includes demo versions of the most important HMI software on the market, such as MicroEJ from IS2t, GUIliani from TES, emWIN from Segger, GUIX from Express Logic and sample software from Renesas. Accelerating time-to-market, this engineering teams to quickly make decisions on what software is most appropriate for their application.
Providing everything engineers require to start their HMI development, once they have selected the HMI software, the 'Display it! – RZ HMI solution kit' also includes the RZ development board, a WVGA screen, compiler, debugger and IDE.
The RZ/A1 MPUs have been designed specifically for HMI applications with up to 10MB of embedded RAM to reduce power consumption and eliminate the need for external RAM while driving excellent screen performance. A multilayer bus separates the RAM into five blocks. This ensures that there are no data-access collisions when running code, reading picture data and writing picture data. By allowing these to run simultaneously, the RZ/A1 family enables the application to operate at a lower frequency than with a one-bus solution. The devices include standard connectivity, CAN, USB and Ethernet, and can control screen sizes up to WXGA.
