Geeplus has today announced a new ‘pick and hold’ circuit module. This new ‘pick and hold’ module is capable of determining the appropriate supply voltage, device, and current parameters for many applications. It is particularly suited for designs where solenoid devices are used.
Supplied as a simple to use and straightforward solution to saving costly development time, the module is microcontroller based and uses intelligent algorithms to adapt to the load device being used, enabling it to drive a wide range of load devices without a hardware change.

Capable of delivering high output currents of up to 25Amps from 8-24v supply voltage, the module incorporates an intelligent user interface which allows the user to connect the module to a PC, and to modify parameters.

Perfectly suited to development work, the interface also facilitates the monitoring of device currents, duty cycle, and the junction temperature of the switching device to ensure that it is operating within acceptable limits.

It is available as a complete kit which includes the module an interface cable and a USB loaded with the programming software. The programming software can be loaded onto any number of computers, so that after initial purchase, the module and cables can be purchased separately.
