IS2T & Green Hills Software Announce Optimized Java Support for INTEGRITY Real-Time Operating System

IS2T S.A. and Green Hills Software, Inc. have teamed up to provide IS2T’s Hard Real-Time MicroJvm® virtual machines for embedded systems integrated for use with the industry’s most reliable real-time operating system, the Green Hills safe and secure INTEGRITY® RTOS. IS2T’s Java platforms offer embedded application developers a small memory footprint, high-speed Java engine with optimized software library bundles and Hard Real-Time Java (HRTJ) capabilities.

IS2T’s Java platforms offer embedded application developers a small memory footprint, high-speed Java engine with optimized software library bundles and Hard Real-Time Java (HRTJ) capabilities. Total memory requirements for a typical J2ME Java platform based on MicroJvm and running on the INTEGRITY operating system is approximately 80KBytes of program memory.

Taking deterministic Java to the embedded market with the INTEGRITY RTOS provides the engineering community with new opportunities to prototype, design and maintain reliable and scalable electronic products. GI10, IS2T's HRTJ virtual machine from the MicroJvm product line, tightly coupled with the INTEGRITY RTOS, provides a best-in-class application platform for software requiring a high-level programming environment, combined with hard real-time, predictable timing and segregated memory spaces.



The IS2T MicroEJ Development Kit offers dedicated tools for Hard Real-Time Analysis at Java binary levels. GI10 complies with the J2ME CLDC Java standard. It leverages the native INTEGRITY message-passing API in Java to allow seamless design from application to system level, both in Java and in C. GI10's unique deterministic Java memory management frees engineers from tedious and error prone memory consumption calibration. To further complement the integration, GI10 Java HRTJ threads are native INTEGRITY Tasks, providing reliable system-level scheduling.
