Infolytica releases new MotorSolve BLDC, MotorSolve IM, MotorSolve SRM and MagNet software
Infolytica Corporation announces the release of two software packages, MotorSolve for IM and SRM, and important updates to MotorSolve BLDC and MagNet. MotorSolve IM and SRM are the company's new electric motor design software for induction machines and switched reluctance machines. MagNet, the industry's first electromagnetic field simulation software based on FEA, is most commonly used for designing a wide range of devices such as motors, transformers, induction heating and other electromechanical applications in numerous industries.
MotoThe new version of MagNet and MotorSolve BLDC feature an improved core loss calculation method which computes the hysteresis plus the anomalous and eddy current losses in the lamination and presents them to the user as two separate fields. In a simulation, the new core loss calculation method for eddy currents takes different harmonics into account and, for hysteresis loss; it takes into account the minor loops.
MotorSolve BLDC version 2 includes a new sizing feature which computes an initial value for several parameters related to the size of the machine based on general design parameters and several additional rotor/stator templates.
