e-con Systems Announces eImageViewer Application for Windows Embedded CE Devices St. Louis, USA/Chennai, India

e-con Systems Inc., an embedded Product Development partner, based in St. Louis, MO and Chennai, India announced its new software for Windows CE Devices. eImageViewer is a feature rich image viewing application for Windows Embedded CE based devices and this could be the only application to view the images on the devices that run Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3. eImageViewer from e-con addresses the most common requirements for image viewing is aimed at being a default image viewing application for Windows CE and Windows Embedded Compact devices.
This freeware application can be ported on Windows Mobile and Windows Phone operating systems. This application helps users in contrast to the Internet Explorer on the devices which allows only the basic image viewing features and is less user-friendly. “eImageViewer is a simple, yet very effective Windows CE image and photo viewer that packs lot of features with a nice user interface. This software addresses the lack of default image viewer for Windows CE and e-con with its range of camera products found the necessity of such free software for our customers. This software with its zoom, mirror, slideshow and other features would be great software for our customers who are working with 3MP, 5MP or even larger images” - said Ashok Babu, President, e-con Systems. eImageViewer application is developed on top of Windows Embedded CE .net CF 3.5 will support the JPEG, BMP, GIF and PNG image formats and for image rendering GDI is used. The application supports all the basic features of imager viewer such as zoom, thumbnail viewing, rotation etc. This eImageViewer software comes with downloadable EXE and CAB files to install for 4 different display resolutions such as 240x320, 480x640, 640x480 and 800x480. And it is free for personal use. Users can use e-con’s Regulus reference platform or TI’s OMAP3530 evaluation board, to start evaluating the eImageViewer using the readily available OS images. As e-con supports a range of CMOS image sensors and camera modules for Windows CE Operating Systems, the customers can make use of this image viewing application that is available from e-con for free.
