Combining programming technology with intelligent system integration, the PSV5000 automated programming system has been introduced by Data I/O. The system, which utilises the company’s FlashCORE III programming engine, features high quality pick and place and vision technologies for precise alignment and placement.

Critical system components and control software featured in the PSV7000 high performance system are used in the PSV5000. The system also supports an integrated high quality, low cost fibre laser marking without the high consumable costs of competing systems.

Rated for delivering up to 1300 parts per hour, the PSV5000 supports all device types, including FPGAs, CPLDs, MCUs and flash memories with tape and tray configurations of up to six programmers (24 individual sockets). Existing Data I/O customers can leverage their installed base of FlashCORE III adapters, software and algorithms with the system. Data I/O Serial Number Server Software is also supported on the PSV5000.

“Programmable content for industrial controls, IoT and consumer electronics applications is growing and becoming increasingly complex,” said Anthony Ambrose, President and CEO, Data I/O. “Manufacturers are under increasing pressure to meet quality, volume and cost requirements. With the cost of quality automation significantly reduced, the PSV5000 is suitable for these applications by integrating Data I/O’s programming technology and robotics handling capability into a compact system delivering the lowest total cost of programming.”
