Analysis functionality added to tools for Renesas RL78
IAR Systems introduces an updated version of its embedded development tools IAR Embedded Workbench for Renesas RL78. The version includes major new functionality enabling simplified development and increased code quality control for applications based on Renesas low-power RL78 MCUs.

They adopted the silicon-proven DesignWare USB 2.0 picoPHY, Gen 2 DDR multiPHY and controllers, HDMI 2.0 TX PHY, data converter and audio analogue codec IP.
Emulation platform chosen for verification of ray-tracing GPU
Imagination Technologies has deployed the Veloce emulation platform’s virtualised testbench acceleration (TBX) technology in their internal verification flow for their PowerVR Wizard GR6500, a ray-tracing-enabled GPU. Micrium has announced commercial RTOS support for the Atmel | SMART ARM Cortex M7-based SAM V71/V70/E70 and S70 MCUs. Micrium's µC/OS-III RTOS kernel runs on Atmel's ARM Cortex M7-based MCUs and supports the SAM V71 Xplained Ultra Evaluation Kit, ATSAMV71-XULT, featuring the ATSAMV71Q21 MCU.
IDT helps speed & improve analytics at CERN's LHC
