PSMA Answers Continued Demand for Snelling Magnetics Text with 2nd Reprint
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) has announced the renewed availability of SOFT FERRITES - Properties and Applications - Second Edition, authored by Eric Snelling. The book had been out of print for several years and was reprinted in limited quantity by the PSMA in 2006. Due to continued demand, a second reprinting is now available.

PSMA to Host Power Supply-on-Chip Special Presentation at APEC 2010
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) Packaging and Power Semiconductor Committees are co-sponsoring a Special Presentation session at APEC 2010 entitled Power Supply on Chip. The session will take place on Thursday morning, February 25th, 2010 at the Convention Center in Palm Springs, California and will feature six experts from the power electronics industry. PSMA Announces Student Attendance Grants for APEC 2010
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) announced it will award up to 20 students with a $1000 grant to cover part of their travel and conference expenses to attend APEC 2010 in Palm Springs, CA, February 21-26. The PSMA Student Attendance Grant program began with the APEC Conference in 2006 and has been successful in introducing new and potentially future power electronic professionals to APEC and to the industry.

PSMA Announces its 2009 Power Technology Roadmap
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association has announced the publication of the 2009 PSMA Power Technology Roadmap . This report is the sixth in a series done every three years to look at the technology trends in power technology over the next four to five years. In 2008, leaders from the key groups - end users, power supply manufacturers and component suppliers - got together to present, compare and discuss their views on the trends in power technology.

PSMA Elects Rob Hill and Marshall Miles to Board of Directors and re-elects Alex Levran and Bharat Shah to Second Term
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA ) has announced the election of four industry leaders to serve as members of the association's Board of Directors. Elected to the board for the first time are Rob Hill and Marshall Miles. Alex Levran, Ph.D. and Bharat S. Shah were each re-elected to serve a second three-year term. Elections were conducted at the PSMA annual meeting held in conjunction with the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) in Austin, Texas.

PSMA Announces On-Line Energy Efficiency Database
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) has announced the availability of an online database containing the evolving standards and regulations for energy efficiency. This online database, available through the Energy Efficiency Forum on the PSMA web site, includes the various organizations – state, national and worldwide – that are active in establishing energy efficiency standards and regulations for power supplies used in commercial applications.

PSMA Announces Nanotechnology Forum and Offers E-Learning Tutorial
PSMA has announced the availability to its members of an e-learning tutorial on the basics of nanotechnology and what is happening in the field. The focus of the tutorial is for technical and marketing people involved in the power sources industry who have heard of nanotechnology but have not had any exposure to it, or as a refresher of the basics for those who are somewhat familiar with the technology. The tutorial highlights domestic and global activities, links to hands-on websites, and includes a glossary of basic nanotechnology vocabulary.

EPRI/PSMA Publish Energy Efficiency Workshop Report
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA ) has announced the release of Follow the Power, a report on the Energy Efficiency Workshop held on February 24, 2007 and sponsored by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and PSMA. PSMA Announces Reprint Availability of Lee's Electronic Transformers and Circuits
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) is pleased to announce availability of the classic engineering text Electronic Transformers and Circuits – Third Edition Reprint, authored by the late Rueben Lee and co-authored by Leo Wilson and Charles E. Carter. The book was initially published by John Wiley and Sons in 1988, but has been out of print for several years. Copies of this practical design treatment of magnetics will be available for sale at this year's Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC 2007) to be held in Anaheim, California, February 25-March 1, 2007 and through the PSMA web site – www.psma.com.
