Patrick McNamee has over 25 years experience in the semiconductor industry including 15 years senior management experience with successful fabless semiconductor companies such as Powervation, Cambridge Silicon Radio and Dialog Semiconductor.
Nujira, the world's leading provider of Envelope Tracking technology, today announced that it has opened an IC Design Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland, and it has been awarded £175,000 funding from Scottish Development International to support the initiative. The new design centre opened today with a small team of engineers but has plans to draw on the pool of IC design expertise based in the region to triple the design centre's headcount by the end of 2012.
Nujira, world's leading provider of Envelope Tracking technology, and KCB Signal Solutions today announced a formal partnership to support their growing US military customer base. The two companies intend to establish a joint entity whereby KCB Signal Solutions will develop and support a range of products to address the military communications market's need to upgrade to modern, high data rate waveforms and yet still meet the demanding size, weight and power requirements . The Companies will demonstrate their technology to key customers and partners at this week's IMS/MTT-S conference in Baltimore, Maryland.
Nujira, the world's leading provider of Envelope Tracking technology, today released details of a 400W Envelope Tracking technology demonstrator for the Digital TV and Radio markets, which delivers an output stage efficiency of 45% for DVB-T OFDM signals over the majority of the UHF band. Nujira Coolteq-u power modulator modules deliver improved power efficiency for most digital broadcasting standards including DVB-T, DVB-T2, ATSC, ISDB-T, DVB-H and DAB, at frequencies from VHF to 2.6GHz or more.
Nujira, the world's leading provider of Envelope Tracking technology, today announced availability of a new wideband Envelope Tracking (ET) Flexible Development System (FDS) for characterising energy-efficient power amplifiers for global cellular frequency bands. Major handset partners have already taken delivery of this system, which will be demonstrated by Nujira at the IMS/MTT-S conference in Baltimore, Maryland, June 7-9.
Nujira, the leading developer of technology to reduce power consumption in smartphone transmitters by 30-50%, has secured a further £10 million of funding for its growth plans.
Nujira today announced the filing of its one hundredth patent, giving it the world's most extensive and complete portfolio of patents filed or granted covering envelope tracking and the implementation of efficient wideband power amplifier (PA) transmission systems. Nujira's patent portfolio covers energy efficient RF transmitters in cellular handset, wireless infrastructure and digital broadcast applications across the US, Asia and Europe.
Nujira and Xilinx today announced the first successful integration of envelope tracking (ET) technology with a third-party digital pre-distortion (DPD) solution running on an FPGA. The two companies have delivered a reference design for a cellular base station PA circuit with Nujira's Coolteq.h envelope tracking modulator linearised by a Xilinx DPD block running on a Xilinx Virtex 6 FPGA platform. Envelope signal generation in the FPGA was implemented using Nujira's Envelope Generation Interface, which is compliant with the openET Alliance's specification for infrastructure ET modulators.
