New Low Cost High Quality MagnetometersInertial Aerosystems have introduced two low cost, high reliability, microprocessor based, magnetometers manufactured by U.S. based Honeywell Inc.The two devices are designated the HMR 2300 and HMR2300r and consist of a three axis smart digital magnetometer and a three axis strapdown magnetometer suitable for flight systems. Both products use the Honeywell HMC2003 hybrid analogue magnetometer to detect the strength and direction of the earth's magnetic field and communicate the x, y and z components directly to a computer/serial bus (RS232/485). 
New Range Of Rugged Triaxial Analogue AccelerometersInertial Aerosystems announced the availability of a new addition to its range of rugged, low cost, triaxial analogue accelerometers. Designated the 2470 range, it is manufactured by U.S. based Silicon Designs Inc. The range consists of seven models that cover DC and dynamic accelerations from +/-2g to +/-200g full scale. Utilising established MEMS technology they have an extensive temperature range of-55 to 110 degrees C. 
Portable Measuring System For Movement Of StructuresInertial Aerosystems have introduced a new, low cost, solution to monitoring and measuring movement of multiple structures / machinery. The system consists of a portable tiltmeter (Model 800P) and a hand held, battery powered, readout module (Model 870). Manufactured by U.S. based Applied Geomechanics, the 800P has no moving parts, so needs no maintenance and virtually no calibration.

Inertial Aerosystems - low cost angular rate sensorsInertial Aerosystems has announced the availability of a new range of low cost MEMS single axis angular rate sensors on a small P.C. board. Designated the LCG50 and manufactured by US based Systron Donner, the range consists of 3 models giving full scale ranges of 100 degrees per second, 250 degrees per second and 500 degrees per second. The sensor is a complete unit and requires only 5V DC power to deliver a high DC output voltage proportional to rate with very low current draw. The unit has fast start up and a temperature sensor output for modeling purposes. These innovative products are ideal for embedded applications where mounting versatility is required in tough environments. 
Enhanced Submersible Precision Pressure TransducerInertial Aerosystems has introduced a fully submersible version of its established PPTR Ruggedised SMART Digital Pressure Transducer. The unit, manufactured by US based Honeywell, incorporates a SEA CON electrical connector, which is qualified for use in depths in excess of 2000 metres. Codenamed the PPTR Submersible, it has an environmentally sealed stainless steel construction and is designed for use in severe conditions, primarily as a depth sensor in sea water and other corrosive environments.

It has been designed primarily for down hole measurement while drilling (MWD) applications in the gas and oil industries and also wireline environments that require a small form factor such as the new generation of directional and horizontal drilling tools. 
Mems Accelerometers For High Temperature Applications.Inertial Aerosystems has announced that its range of Analogue and Digital MEMS Accelerometers have increased temperature capability. Now fully rated at -55 to +125°C, they operate well in high temperature, high shock environments. This high quality range is manufactured by U.S. based Silicon Designs. 
New Low Cost Compact Digital Compass ModuleInertial Aerosystems has announced the availability of a new low cost digital compass module manufactured by U.S. based Honeywell. Designated the HMR 3400 this innovative device is a three axis tilt compensated electronic compass with low power consumption. Incorporating Honeywell's established magnetorestive sensor technology coupled with a MEMS accelerometer to give a compact reliable tilt compensated compass, which provides compass headings as well as pitch and roll angles. 
Enhanced MTi-G Device With Integrated GPS from Inertial AerosystemsInertial Aerosystems have introduced an enhanced version of their established MTi-G product. This device, manufactured by Netherlands based Xsens Motion Technology, is a MEMS Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) with integrated GPS. The unit provides accurate horizontal and vertical position, velocity and 3D orientation estimates. It incorporates an internal ultra low power signal processor and a real time Kalman filter. 
Low Cost Triaxial Analog Accelerometers from Inertial AerosystemsInertial Aerosystems is launching a new range of high performance low cost triaxial analogue accelerometers. Designated the 2460 range, it consists of 8 models that cover full scale accelerations from DC to +/-2g to 400g. These innovative products utilise three orthogonal mounted accelerometers with each axis independently powered. The whole circuit assembly is on a flexible board to help withstand shock, vibration, etc. The unit is enclosed in a rugged lightweight epoxy sealed anodised aluminium case.
