IES5528, phase control and triac triggering integrated circuit for the mains power control marketThe IES5528 is a drop-in replacement of the OM5428. The OM5428 is now being superseded by the IES5528 and should not be used in new design-ins. The IES5528 is designed to provide negative triac gate pulses that avoid the insensitive triac trigger quadrants. By doing this it uses significantly less supply current and hence reduces dissipation in the supply resistor allowing the use of low wattage power resistors.

Essentially, the IES5507 includes a uni-directional buffer for the clock signal with a bi-directional buffer for the data signal. The IES5541A is an integrated circuit that provides effective relay contact arc suppression. The IES5541A has been designed (patent pending) to provide relay contact protection enabling relays to achieve extended operating lifetime up to ten times longer (over 1 million switches) than non-protected relays. 
2- wire bus buffer now in full productionHendon Semiconductors has announced that its IES5501 2-wire bus buffer IC is in full production. One of the new Bus Buffers in the IES550x family, the IES5501, is compatible for extending and expanding I2C(1),SMBus(2), PMBus(2), IPMB and other similar 2-wire bus systems. Hendon Semiconductors is new name for IESIntegrated Electronic Solutions, an Australian based IC design and manufacturing company recently announces a new trading name for their semiconductor division. "The new name, Hendon Semiconductors will provide an improved image and focus for our drive to be recognized as a leading supplier in our specialist integrated circuits markets", said IES Managing Director, Brenton Scott. |
