Introducing the PicoScope 4000A Series high resolution oscilloscopes
This video gives a brief overview of the PicoScope 4000A Series oscilloscopes with 2-, 4- or 8-channels of high resolution.
PC-based scope has 20MHZ bandwidth, 80MS/s sampling speed
Pico Technology has unveiled availability of the new PicoScope 4000A Series PC-based oscilloscopes, a second-generation upgrade and expansion of the company's high-resolution, deep-memory product portfolio.
This is Dave: a probe positioning system story
Oscilloscopes with more than two channels present humans with a common problem: none of us have enough hands to hold more than two oscilloscope probes in place. This is especially an issue when using an 8-channel oscilloscope such as the new PicoScope 6800E devices, so it was particularly important for Pico Technology to address it.
PicoVNA 108 8.5GHz vector network analyser
The market and range of applications for the vector network analyser has continued to rise. Growth is not simply driven by the proliferation of microwave, gigabit and wireless signals in our lives, but also in penetrating and short-range radar imaging and proximity detection in secure spaces, and in dielectric materials, tissues and composites. The vector network analyser sits behind data flow, communications, food, healthcare, defence, civil inf...
4-channel oscilloscopes bolster PicoScope 6000E Series
Three new 4-channel models, each of which can be configured with 16 optional digital channels have added more T&M muscle to Pico Technology’s PicoScope 6000E Series oscilloscopes.
A smarter oscilloscope for faster debug
Pico Technology has announced the PicoScope 6000E Series FlexRes oscilloscopes, featuring eight channels with 500 MHz bandwidth, 16 digital channels, and resolution of eight, ten or 12 bits. The products work with PicoScope 6 application software, which takes full advantage of the latest PC performance and display capabilities, showing clean, crisp waveforms on screens of any size and resolution.
Decoder/analyser package aids automotive Ethernet testing
A BroadR-Reach decoder/analyser package that simplifies Automotive Ethernet integration testing and debugging has been released by Pico Technology. The package includes a novel non-intrusive Software Directional Coupler to separate up- and downstream traffic on full-duplex communication lines.
EuMW 2019: Wizard ready to perform VNA magic in Paris
Ready to be unveiled at European Microwave Week in Paris (October 1-3), Pico Technology has unveiled a new PicoVNA Interface Wizard, which adds significant functionality and value to the company’s low-cost, high-performance vector network analyser (VNA).
DALI decoding enhances oscilloscope software
DALI decoding and analysis has been added to the latest version of PicoScope 6 software by Pico Technology. DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) provides two-way communications between lighting fixtures (“luminaires”), ballasts and controllers.
16GHz real-time oscilloscope cuts cost of time-domain sampling
Pico Technology has introduced the PicoScope 9404-16 SXRTO, a 16 GHz sampler-extended real-time oscilloscope at what it describes as “an even more compelling low price point”. The new model joins the 5GHz 9404-05 model launched earlier this year.
Software allows data loggers to support Raspberry Pi
A software package that supports the Raspberry Pi single-board computer has been released by Pico Technology. Optimised and tested on the newly-released Raspberry Pi 4, and the current 3B and 3B+ on Raspbian Stretch, the PicoLog 6 data logging software package provides a visual, easy-to-use interface allowing users to quickly set up simple or complex acquisitions and record, view and analyse data.
Pico seeks beta test applicants for Ethernet protocol decoder
The increasing use of ECUs in vehicles, and advanced signal processing, is driving the need for high performance automotive networks. 100BASE-T1 / BroadR-Reach has emerged as the physical layer standard for automotive applications.
Pico picks Manchester for software development office
Pico Technology has opened a new software development office in Manchester, UK.
Calibration standards added to vector network analysers
Pico Technology has introduced two new products to its RF portfolio. The TA430 (Insertable M-F) and TA431 (Non-insertable F-F) VNA check standards can optionally be used to validate the accuracy of a network analysis test setup and its calibration before, during or after a sequence of measurements is made.
Oscilloscopes drive partial discharge measurement system
The PicoScope 5000D FlexRes oscilloscopes from Pico Technololgy have been chosen by Diagnóstico del Aislamiento Eléctrico (DIAEL) as a key component for its new MS Pico portable system for partial discharge measurement. Partial discharge measurement is the most important technique for assessing the insulation condition of high-voltage systems and provides an effective solution for assessing the reliability of electrical installation...
Software upgrade enhances data loggers' performance
The ADC‑10 was Pico Technology’s first data logger product. It was launched in 1991 with a simple scope and logging software package for MS-DOS, so that users could achieve the three fundamental purposes of logging software: set up the logger, view the graphed data and save the capture to disk. These packages later became known as the PicoScope and PicoLog software.
Pico Technology wins Sunday Times workplace accolade
Pico Technology has been included in the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For 2018. The award measures and acknowledges excellence in workplace engagement – where only organisations with the highest level of overall employee engagement qualified.
PicoLog 6 - straightforward from the start
Pico Technology designed and manufactured its first data logger, the ADC-10, in 1991 with a simple scope and logging software package for MS-DOS, so that users could achieve the three fundamental purposes of logging software: set up the logger, view the graphed data and save the capture to disk. These packages later became known as the PicoScope and PicoLog software.
