As reliability of wireless connectivity becomes increasingly important to SD-WAN and MEC applications, Lanner has allocated R&D resources towards wireless technology innovations –  not only did Lanner CAT-6 LTE module PGN-300 receive PTCRB and Verizon certifications, but it innovates LTE antenna design that enhanced signal efficiency and network compatibility.

Lanner has announced that onboard vehicle NVR V3S and V6S have now become Milestone XProtect verified platforms. Lanner’s V3S and V6S are designed with multiple built-in PoE ports and a scalable option with uninterrupted swappable 4G LTE connectivity modem caddy PGN-series module. V3S and V6S are now Milestone XProtect verified platforms.

Designed as multi-service telematics and infotainment gateway for rolling stock application, the R6S series offers rich networking I/O including one GbE RJ45 ports and ten IEEE 802.3af standard PoE ports for IP camera or wireless access point connection. Built to be a rolling stock controller, R6S comes with one removable 2.5” HDD/SSD drive bay for dual storage of recorded footages. 

Lanner has introduced its latest compute blade HMB-6100, empowered by 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors with Intel C621 Series PCH, and RRC 100GbE Ethernet controller. HMB-6100, designed to our flagship HybridTCA compute specifications, is compatible with Lanner’s x86 HTCA-6000 series network appliances to boost data centre performances, bandwidth and connectivity for telecom applications.

In a move to further simplify customer site deployments, Verizon has teamed up with Lanner Electronics to launch its next-generation enhanced Universal Customer Premises Equipment (uCPE) program. Verizon’s enhanced uCPE program will run on Lanner’s hardware platform and integrate with existing Virtual Network Service (VNS) applications on the Verizon global network.

Lanner has released the NCA-1513, a desktop network appliance powered by Intel Atom C3000 (codenamed Denverton) CPU. The NCA-1513 features robust performance and Intel’s QuickAssist Technology, offering cryptographic acceleration and commercial-grade LAN functions in a 231x200x44mm form factor.

Lanner Electronics will collaborate with Intel to deliver its next-generation network appliance NCA-6210, verified by Intel Select Solution for NFVI FP. NCA-6210 is integrated with pre-configured hardware and software optimal for NFVI deployments, and will help service providers to accelerate the process of researching and deploying the virtualisation-optimised network solutions required for future service applications.

Lanner’s NCA-6210, a 2U x86 rackmount network appliance built with 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor platform and C621/C627 chipset, is equipped with a total of eight NIC module slots that support 1/10/40/100G copper/fibre interface, greatly enhancing the NCA-6210’s flexibility and scalability.

Lanner have helped pave the way in a pioneering three-year research programme designed to tackle escalating Tuberculosis (TB) rates in the Philippines, working in partnership with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. The project comes after a study which, in 2016, revealed there are 1 million people in the Philippines with active TB, a figure which is reportedly on the rise. 

Lanner HybridTCA converged infrastructure is pre-integrated with compute, switch and storage. The hardware convergence saves 2U spaces that generic server occupies, and the space-efficient can better accommodate the installations of network switches. The interior connection within the servers reduces manual cable connection error and simplifies the maintenance.

Lanner plans to collaborate with Intel to deliver a new verified Intel Select Solution for uCPE. This integrated and tested hardware/software solution combines industry-leading Lanner compute; and networking COTS platforms pre-configurated with ADVA’s Ensemble Connector scalable, high-performance virtualisation platform.

Lanner has announced the launch of NCR-1510, a wide-temperature fanless network appliance optimised for SD-WAN or uCPE. Supporting an operating temperature range of -40 to +70°C and fanless cooling, this new offering will allow service providers to deploy the SD-WAN services in demanding environment and critical infrastructure.

To meet the demanding workloads of network computing and data processing at the edge of the network and cloud datacenter, Lanner will adopt the server-based, 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable Family Processors on Lanner’s flagship network appliances, including NCA-6210, NCA-5710, NCA-5520 and FX-3230.
