KEMET has announced extensions to its automotive grade polymer electrolytic capacitors. The T591 High Performance Automotive Grade Polymer Electrolytic Series delivers stability and endurance under harsh humidity and temperature conditions. The extensions include options up to 50V for both 12 and 24V power rails.

The industrial grade high temperature X7R dielectric capacitors have been announced by KEMET.  Unlike competing solutions, these devices can utilise the full rated voltage at 175°C. They are also offered with a flexible termination option and are RoHS compliant without exemption.

250V 0402 C0G capacitors are a 'world first'
  250V ceramic capacitors in C0G dielectric and a 0402 case size have been released by KEMET. The devices, which feature values of up to 330pF, are claimed to be a world first. Eliminating piezoelectric noise, the capacitors offer low ESR and ESL and high thermal stability.

X8L axial capacitors operate in environments reaching 150°C
A line of high-temperature axial capacitors has been expanded, with manufacturer KEMET now offering what they claim is the industry’s first X8L dielectric in an axial form factor. Alongside the introduction of the Aximax X8L capacitor, KEMET has also made available the Aximax Ultra-Stable X8R for applications sensitive to capacitance changes such as filters.

KEMET tantalum capacitors are conflict free
KEMET’s determination to source conflict-free minerals for its tantalum capacitor products is spelt out in the company’s 2013 Conflict Minerals Report, which it has submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in accordance with US law. The Conflict Minerals Report provides details on the company’s efforts to ensure that all KEMET tantalum materials are sourced conflict-free, either through the Company’s vertically integrated closed pipe tantalum supply chain or though valued supply chain partners.

Surface mount tantalum capacitors identified as conflict-free

A 2013 Conflict Minerals Report, released by the KEMET Corporation, has been submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in accordance with U.S. law. The report outlines the company’s efforts to ensure that all KEMET tantalum materials are sourced conflict-free, with the report highlighting how all KEMET tantalum supply chain sources were validated by the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) Conflict-Free Smelter Program (CFSP).
