Global supplier of electronic components, KEMET, has announced the expansion of its surface mount High Voltage Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor portfolio with the addition of the EIA 0603 case size (1608 metric) with C0G temperature characteristics. These devices are the smallest of their kind and offer designers the ability to continue miniaturising trends within their designs while still maintaining operating voltages up to 1,000VDC.

Capacitors meet voltage transient critical requirements
Global supplier of electronic components, KEMET, has announced the extension of its T598 range of polymer electrolytic capacitors with new higher voltage rated parts. The addition of 35V devices for capacitance values of 22 and 33 microfarads represents a first-to-market for KEMET. The new AEC-Q200 qualified parts extend the range of automotive applications in which the benefits of polymer electrolytic devices can be utilised, and provide a product capable of meeting voltage transient critical requirements.

Global supplier of electronic components, KEMET, has announced the extension of its U2J dielectric for automotive grade applications. With AEC-Q200 automotive qualification, the U2J surface mount (SMD) platform offers more than twice the capacitance available in C0G/NP0. It also offers what it claims to be superior temperature performance over X7R, X8R and X5R, rendering it a suitable capacitor solution for vehicle applications.

Polymer electrolytic capacitor offers extended life test option
Supplier of electronic components, KEMET, has introduced what it claims to be the industry’s first COTS grade polymer electrolytic capacitor with a 1,000-hour life test option. The new option, also known as the 'Biased Humidity Test', provides capacitors qualified at 85°C with 85% relative humidity at rated voltage applied for 1,000 hours. The test type provides capacitors qualified to the rigors of MIL-STD-202 Method 103.

Available in EIA 1210 and 2220 cases sizes, KPS “L” termination commercial capacitors allow designers to meet the needs of defence, avionic and industrial applications requiring a more robust termination system that helps mitigate tin whisker growth.

Six families of surface mount and through-hole conductive polymer aluminum solid electrolytic capacitors have been announced by KEMET, with voltage ratings up to 250VDC. Geometrically square construction lowers MLCC inductance
KEMET has announced the Ultra HiQ-CBR Squared series of MLCCs. The devices' geometrically square construction results in lower inductance than standard EIA case sizes, improving low loss performance and operation at higher resonant frequencies. The Ultra HiQ-CBR Squared capacitors are suited for high power applications such as wireless, satellite and microwave communications, RF and power amplifier modules and medical electronics.
