Surface mount MLCCs for high voltage applications
Expanding its Flexible Termination (FT-CAP) product portfolio, KEMET has announced the HV C0G FT-CAP high voltage C0G multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs). The capacitors are suitable for use in power supply, automotive (hybrid), telecommunications, medical, defence, aerospace, semiconductors and test/diagnostic applications.

Capacitors retain high insulation resistance up to 200°C

Claiming industry-leading performance at extreme temperatures, Kemet have announced the High Voltage-High Temperature (HV-HT) Series. The series is comprised of 200°C capable, surface mount ceramic capacitors in C0G Dielectric, with Kemet further claiming that the patented C0G dielectric technology and greater volumetric efficiency offers better performance than competitive high temperature PME and BME ceramic capacitor devices.

MLCCs now have four times greater capacitance values

Expanding its portfolio of high voltage surface mount multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs), KEMET has introduced several new part types which feature industry-leading and first-to-market capacitance values. Offering both high voltage capability and the stability and performance of C0G dielectric, the capacitance offerings are now more than four times greater in devices with voltage ratings of 500–3,000V DC in EIA 0805–2225 case.

KEMET expands PHS tantalum through-hole capacitors
KEMET announced today product extensions for the T550 Polymer Hermetic Seal Series of tantalum through-hole capacitors. T550 PHS Series offers the highest voltage and deliverable energy with the lowest leakage current of any other capacitor. This extension expands the B case size product offering to 24 part numbers with capacitance values up to 820 µF, voltage ranges from 6 to 60 volts and leakage current as low as 6.3 µA.

KEMET announced the release of three new series of tantalum chip capacitors: T488 Small Case Substrate Terminal MnO2, T527 Facedown Polymer, and T529 Small Case Substrate Terminal Polymer. These miniaturized solutions offer the highest capacitance values (22uF to 220uF) available today in both a standard 2012 (2.0mm x 1.2mm) and 3216 (3.2mm x 1.6mm) EIA case size with maximum package heights of as low as 1.0mm.
