MOSFET enables higher capacity lithium batteries

Transistors' 0.4mm off-board height suits wearables

Claimed to be the world’s first DFN0606-packaged NPN and PNP devices, Diodes Incorporated has announced four transistors which occupy a board space of only 0.36mm2 with an off-board height of only 0.4mm. The devices are suited for wearables, such as smart watches, as well as other space-constrained consumer products, such as smartphones and tablets.

Linear regulator improves LED current tolerance

Featuring 1.2W maximum power dissipation, excellent 20ppm/°C temperature stability and high power-supply rejection ratio, a constant current linear LED driver has been introduced by Diodes Incorporated. The AL5809 delivers LED currents with a ±5% tolerance over a -40 to +125°C temperature range, simplifying solutions for LED signage, LED strip lighting and low-current retrofit lamps.

The ZXGD3009E6 and ZXGD3009DY help MOSFETs to be more rapidly and fully switched on and off, minimise switching losses, improve power density and increase overall conversion efficiency.

Soft-start functionality improves power reliability

Providing simple and cost-effective soft-start functionality to improve 3.3 and 5V system power reliability in notebooks, tablets and datacomms, the 5V dual-channel AP22966 load switch has been announced by Diodes Incorporated. With fully adjustable output slew rates set via ground-connected external capacitors on its soft-start inputs, the device’s two N-channel MOSFET outputs can be independently controlled.
