RD24 connectors can handle different cable sizes

Binder just announced an addition to its RD24 connector portfolio with the UL approved Series 692/693 connectors. These incorporate a “Vario” cable outlet designed to accommodate cables with diameters from 7 to 17mm. These RD24 connectors will suit a wide variety of applications including power connections for pressure and temperature transducers, welding equipment, CCTV, security installations and control systems.

M12 A-coded connectors for power applications

binder has made significant additions to its M12 A-coded moulded connectors with the new models destined to find widespread use across high power applications including those with motors, drives and control systems. The new versions are four pole cable connectors that are rated up to 8A and 250V and when mated, the connectors offer protection to IP67 making them ideal for demanding environments.

binder is stepping up its push into the UK and Ireland connector market by signing a distribution agreement with Anglia. The deal is the latest move by the Germany-based circular connect specialist to raise its brand profile amongst the UK and Ireland customer base.

Harsh environment connector sees new 12-pole version

Now available in a 12-pole version, the recently introduced HEC (Harsh Environment Connector) from Binder is known as series 696, and the HEC connector is protected to IP68, IP69k, and can withstand high-pressure washing. The connector also has resistance to UV, temperature fluctuations, acid rain, salt spray, ozone and other pollutants.

Medical connectors feature a range of colours

It has been announced that Binder are supplying medical versions of its plastic 620/720 sub-miniature and miniature snap-in and NCC (Non-Connected Closed) connectors. Manufactured from a robust polyamide 66 material that offers excellent dimensional stability and rigidity and high levels of resistance to acetate and alcohol-based disinfectants while the bright RAL 9002 grey/white finish aids visibility of any contamination or soiling.

Sensor connectors showcased at Coventry show

A complete range of its connectors, including its innovative industrial connectors and market leading M5, M8 and M12 sensor connectors will be displayed by binder at the Electronic Design Show in Coventry (October 18-19). A number of new products will be featured including the grey/white (RAL9002) versions of its innovative snap-in IP67 series 620/720 connectors and its unique non-connected closed series 770 connectors.

Connectors have crimp terminations for tough conditions

New versions of the binder range of M12 A and B coded connectors are now available with crimp termination that complement the existing screw clamp, IDT and wire clamp versions.  These new versions withstand high levels of vibration and shock and are ideal for fitting to inductive sensors instrumentation and controls systems.

Panel-mount connector variants fitted with Ethernet cable

The extensive range of binder M8 panel-mount connectors has been enhanced with the introduction of new male and female connectors with Ethernet cable.  Mounted from inside the panel and fixed with an M10 nut on the outside, the connectors are pre-installed on 0.5m of CAT 5e Ethernet cable for wiring into an Ethernet switch.

Power connectors enhanced with three pole versions

The extensive range of binder M12 s-coded power connectors has been enhanced with the introduction of new three pole (2+PE) versions with a pre-engaging contact and featuring both field attachable cable and panel mount versions with wires. Previously only available in 4-pole (3+PE), these new versions are ideal for mains voltage (250V) applications.

Sealing kit enhances harsh environment connector

The recently introduced Binder HEC (Harsh Environment Connector) now has a single wire sealing kit for fitting to the rear of panel mount connectors suitable for sealing signal wires up to 1.5mm2 (AWG 16) and power wires up to 2.5mm2 (AWG).  This ensures that the rear of the connector inside the panel is sealed to IP67 and provides effective protection against humidity on the connection side.

Available for Apple and Android devices, Binder has introduced a new mobile app for its range of industrial connectors – the app is suited to smartphones and tablets. The app offers fast access to technical information and product data with options that include search by product family, series or part number and allows product datasheets to be emailed or printed wirelessly.

Power connectors enhanced by M20 fixing thread

The extensive and highly popular range of S and T coded M12 power connectors recently introduced by Binder has been enhanced with the introduction of new panel mount versions with an M20 x 1.5mm fixing thread. These new versions are pre-terminated with single 200mm long, 1.25mm2 (AWG 16) wires.  The nickel-plated brass bodies house gold-plated contacts and feature an M20 x 1.5mm fixing thread for direct mounting to a threaded hole in a panel...

Panel connectors target automation applications

The extensive range of Binder M12 connectors has been strengthened with the availability of new surface mount panel connectors. Supplied in two halves: an SMT contact carrier that is made of liquid crystal polymer and an optional nickel-plated brass body if it is required, these new connectors are suitable for re-flow soldering at 250°C for 20 to 40 seconds and are available with or without shielding.

Connector length reduced to save space

A new version of the popular Binder range of M8 connectors reduces the length by some 30% making them ideal for applications where space is at a premium such as in inductive proximity sensors.  Until now all Binder M8 connectors incorporated a hole for an LED indicator but these new versions cater for a growing requirement for M8 sensor tube connectors without LEDs.

Panel mount connectors get colour coding feature

Binder has introduced a new range of M12, A-coded panel mount connectors that have colour coded inserts to help prevent incorrect mating.  Black, purple, orange, yellow, green, red and blue inserts are available in four and five pole format and in both male and female rear-mounting versions.  The mounting thread is M16.

Connector series stands up to harsh environments

 Binder’s UL-approved connector Series 696 are designed to withstand harsh environments. It is designed for outdoor use and is waterproof and dustproof to IP68, IP69k.  Known as the HEC (harsh environment connector), the Series 696 withstands high-pressure washing and offers high levels of resistance to UV, temperature fluctuations, acid rain, salt spray, ozone and other pollutants.

Connectors' 10Gbit/s transmission suits PROFINET protocols

A series of 8-pole, X-coded connectors has been added to Binder's  range of M12 connectors. With data transmission of up to 10Gbit/s, the connectors will prove highly valuable in applications using industrial Ethernet protocols such as PROFINET for security, CCTV and passenger information systems.
