Extreme Engineering Solutions is shipping XCalibur1541, the MPC8572E based 6U VPX board that ranges from commercial to full blown military (conduction-cooled) applications. With Freescale Semiconductor’s dual-core MPC8572E PowerQUICC™ III processor, XCalibur1541 delivers enhanced performance and efficiency for today’s commercial, industrial and military embedded computing applications.
XCalibur1541 is a powerful solution structured for system designers demanding high processing performance with lower power consumption and also features:

• Freescale MPC 8572E PowerQUICC® III processor with dual e500 Power Architecture® cores at up to 1.5 GHz
• Two channels of up to 4 GB of DDR2-800 ECC SDRAM
• Up to 4 GB of NAND flash and 256 MB of NOR flash
• Four Gigabit Ethernet ports
• Two SATA 3.0 ports
• Two USB ports
• Two PrPMC/XMC interfaces
• In-house X-ES operating system support includes:
