X-ES Ships XPedite7302: Intel® Corei7 Processor-Based XMC Module with SecureCOTS

Extreme Engineering Solutions, Inc. (X-ES) announced availability of the XPedite7302, a high-performance XMC module featuring the Intel® Core™i7 processor and SecureCOTS™. With its SecureCOTS capabilities, the XPedite7302 can provide data encryption and decryption and enables developers to address a program’s protection requirements. X-ES has confirmed its ongoing commitment to bring new technology to the market first and lead the Intel Core i7 processor-based embedded computing market by delivering the first XPedite7302 with a production Intel Core i7 processor to a customer.
SecureCOTS includes functionality that X-ES’s customers can utilize to develop secure computing and anti-tamper capabilities for their customers. In addition to the SecureCOTS capabilities, the XPedite7302 features:
• Intel Core i7 processor operating at 2.00/1.06 GHz
• 8 GB DDR3-1066 ECC SDRAM in two channels
• 8 MB SPI NOR boot and 256 MB parallel NOR flash
• One x4 PCI Express link and four x1 PCI Express links
• Gigabit Ethernet port
• Two serial ports

“While others talk, X-ES is shipping Corei7 processor solutions,” stated Bret Farnum, Vice President of sales at X-ES. “Customers need working hardware and software, and X-ES delivers.”

Configurable as either air-cooled or conduction-cooled, the XPedite7302 is designed to meet a wide range of environmental requirements. Wind River VxWorks and Linux Board Support Packages (BSPs) are available.
