A two-slot 40G ATCA (AdvancedTCA) system platform, designed to support the latest high performance payload blades, has been introduced by Artesyn Embedded Technologies. Enabling systems integrators to increase performance and I/O bandwidth, the Centellis 2100 provides power and cooling support for up to 400W per slot and up to 500W in a single slot configuration.

The device is suitable for distributed networking, IMS/IPTV subsystems, 4G and edge networking and routing. Featuring a 3U 19” chassis, the platform enables the reuse of existing, larger scale ATCA hardware and software elements, reducing both development costs and time-to-market. For integration into redundant or non-redundant power configurations, the Centellis 2100 is offered with redundant DC or AC power input modules.

The device meets NEBS and ETSI environmental requirements, including the GR-63 NEBS mandate for front-to-rear cooling, which enables any combination of ATCA blades and rear transition modules within the ATCA specification limits.

The platform supports Artesyn’s System Services Framework software, a centralised management software suite to configure and monitor software and hardware components in a single shelf or complex system of multiple ATCA shelves. The Centellis 2100 also supports the company's FlowPilot software for advanced load balancing and packet classification, directing traffic flow to individual payload processors for further processing.
