Single board computer micro module

Avalue Technology has introduced a new 3.5” single board computer micro module which is powered by the AMD Embedded G-Series 1st generation SoC APU based on 28nm design technology. Designated the ECM-KA, the new SBC features extremely low power consumption, high graphic performance, rich multimedia and I/O functionality and a small footprint.

Integrating up to Quad-core CPU and next generation graphics core, the AMD Embedded G-Series SoC APU processors are built on Jaguar microarchitecture. Avalue’s ECM-KA has adopted the AMD Embedded G-Series 1st generation Quad-core GX-415GA 1.5GHz SoC APU and AMD SoC Integrated chipset.

The newest AMD-based offering, the ECM-KA features rich multimedia and I/O functionality including one 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM socket that supports up to 8GB DDR3 1600 SDRAM, dual channel 18/24-bit LVDS as well as HDMI, LVDS and VGA multi-display configurations, 2 SATA III, 1 Mini PCIe, 1 CF, 2 USB 3.0, 6 USB 2.0, 2 COM, 8-bit DIO and 2Gigabt Ethernet. The ECM-KA features multiple OS support including Windows 8, Windows 7 and Linux, enabling the SBC to be used in a variety of embedded designs.

Designed to meet demands for the embedded market, the ECM-KA is ideal for applications such as industrial controls & automation, gaming, thin clients, retail/ digital signage, SMB storage server, surveillance, medical, communication, entertainment, and data acquisition.
