An SBC and a computing box, powered by the TI Sitara AM3352 Cortex-A8 1GHz processor, have been released by Advantech. Equipped with 512MB of DDR3 memory and 4GB flash ROM onboard, the RSB-4220 SBC and the UBC-FA30 computing box are suited the industrial and IoT markets.

I/O interfaces include six UART with ESD protection, eight GPIO porta, as well as one CAN bus 2.0B, one USB 2.0, one SD card slot, two Giga LAN ports and one I2C with a 5V interface. The RSB-4220 also specifically supports Mini PCIe, RS-485 and a single channel 18-bit LVDS interface. The SBC and a computing box consume 2W during normal operating conditions with a 12/19/24VDC input.

To enable design development, the RSB-4220 and UBC-FA30 are offered with Linux kernel V3.2.0 and a complete board support package. The SBC also supports the QT Version and is provided with a UI tool for GUI interface development, as well as source code examples. With non-GUI features like thread management, network support, and a unified cross-platform API for file handling, QT can be utilised for developing all kinds of industrial applications.
