The use of the most reliable SLC NAND flash technology available plus integrated power fail safety guarantees data reliability in Swissbit’s C-300 Longevity, a CompactFlash card with long-term availability through to at least 2021. Its feature set includes an optimised random write speed and backward compatibility, making the card suitable for demanding applications in the telecommunications and networking market, as well as applications requiring maximum longevity due to time-consuming and cost-intensive re-qualification processes.

In addition to long-term availability, the card offers a fixed BOM (bill of material) and an extra-long transition phase of at least 24 months between PCN/EOL notification and the last shipment. With TRUE IDE and PC card modes, the card delivers optimum backward compatibility to older systems, protocols and interfaces. It also features a high random write speed of more than 150 Kbyte/second.

Thanks to its sophisticated diagnostic functions, including detailed status information through the enhanced S.M.A.R.T. interface and the Life Time Monitoring Tool, the user is always aware of the card’s current status which helps eliminate unexpected downtime. High quality is guaranteed through carefully selected materials and comprehensive quality tests alongside the highest manufacturing standards. Customers hence benefit from a very low TCO (total cost of ownership).

The C-300 Longevity is available in densities from 32MB up to 8GB and in both commercial (0°C-70°C) and industrial temperature range (-40°C-85°C).

The Swissbit C-300 Longevity CompactFlash card is available from Rutronik.
