Player enhances audio and video quality with AWB

A digital signage player, claimed to enhance audio and video quality, has been released by Axiomtek. Intelligent Pluggable Systems Specification compliant, the OPS882-HM is powered by the 4th Generation Intel Core i5 processor and the Mobile Intel HM86 Express chipset. The player supports AWB (Audio Video Bridging), which transports audio and video data in real time at high quality and with a high-speed Ethernet connection.

To extend the reach of digital signage beyond its physical location, the OPS882-HM also supports NFC. The player features Intel Retail Client Manager, a software solution that provides easy-to-use digital signage content management system with analytics. Alongside two DDR3L SO-DIMM sockets with memory up to 16GB, the OPS882-HM offers a 2.5” SATA HDD, two PCI Express Mini Card slots, a wireless LAN card for 802.11 b/g/n and 3G/GPRS and a tuner/AV capture card.

The player is connected to OPS-compliant display via a standardised JAE TX-25 plug connector and includes DisplayPort, UART, audio, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 signals. Other features include a 10/100/1000Mbps a LAN port, RS-232 port, a HDMI interface, and three USB 3.0 ports. TPM 1.2 is also offered, increasing the security and reliability of the player while reducing it's deployment costs. The player is suitable for various display applications, including those within retail stores, banks and restaurants.
