A series of rugged and expandable panel PCs suitable for industrial automation, home automation and HMI applications has been introduced by Avalue Technology. The ARC-1209 and ARC-1509 are powered by Intel Atom E3845 quad-core 1.91GHz with integrated chipset and support one 204-pin DDR3L 1333MHz SODIMM system memory with up to 8GB capacity.

I/O interfaces include one USB 3.0, three USB 2.0, two COM, one SATA II, one WiFi, , one Mini PCIe supporting mSATA, three knockouts for antenna mounting, speak out and two LAN ports supporting Intel I210IT for wide temperature. The ARC devices support optional dual display, three audio jacks for 5.1CH, an extra Mini PCIe slot with a push-push SIM socket, and future expansion for GPIO and CAN buses.

Operating from -30 to +60°C with a voltage input of 12 to 26V, the ARC-1209 and ARC-1509 have passed anti-vibration tests of up to 5Grms, and anti-shock tests of up to 20Grms. The ARC devices also feature front and rear panels which are IP-65 and IP-41 rated. Featuring an Intelligent Expansion Technology design, the panel PCs are equipped with a swappable 2.5” hard disk drive and service window for memory as well as nine extra expansion daughter boards.
