Axiomtek is very excited to introduce the outstanding OPS870-HM, a leading Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) compliant signage player powered by 3rd generation Intel Core processors. The high performance OPS870-HM is based on Mobile Intel HM76 Express chipset and features 3rd generation Intel Core processors based on the leading edge 22nm process technology. Axiomtek’s OPS870-HM is engineered to be installed into any OPS-compliant digital signage platform to enable faster and easier installation, and straightforward upgrading and maintenance.
It s“The Open Pluggable Specification was created to address fragmentation in the digital signage market and simplify device installation, use, maintenance and upgrades,” said Nick Jane, Convener of DS SIG. “With the specification, digital signage manufacturers will be able to deploy interchangeable systems faster and in higher volumes, while lowering costs for development and implementation.” Axiomtek’s OPS870-HM follows this open standard which comprises electrical, mechanical and thermal specifications for media player boards and display boards connected together via an 80-pin JAE connector that supports commonly used interfaces such as DisplayPort and USB, among others.
“Axiomtek’s OPS870-HM measures 180mm wide, 30mm high, and 120mm deep, is a space saving player designed to be plugged into an OPS compliant display. The OPS870-HM delivers greater interoperability and lower installation costs, and also allows easy replacement without dismantling the whole signage system”, said Robert Wang, Vice President of Sales & Marketing of the Digital Signage Business Unit at Axiomtek.
The OPS870-HM, is connected to displays via a standardized JAE TX-25 plug connector, and includes HDMI, DisplayPort, UART, and USB 3.0 signals. Pluggable HDD tray and DRAM are for quick and easy installation. The OPS870-HM signage module also supports one 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet and USB 3.0 port to enable fast and efficient data computation and communication. One PCI Express Mini Card slot is equipped for graphics-enhanced video card, wireless LAN card for 802.11 b/g/n and 3G/GPRS, and tuner/AV capture card.
