OPS Signage Player from Axiomtek Featuring 2nd Generation Intel Core Processors

Axiomtek today announced the new OPS860-HM Open Pluggable Specification compliant signage player delivers high performance without the high cost of installation and maintenance. This cost-effective signage player supports 2nd generation Intel Core i5/i3 processors with Intel HM65 Express chipset and has a DDR3-1333 system memory that can expand up to 4GB capacity.
The OPS860-HM connects to any OPS compliant display via a standardized JAE TX-25 plug connector, and includes HDMI/DVI, DisplayPort, UART, audio, and USB 2.0 signals. Compliant with standard OPS architecture, Axiomtek’s OPS860-HM delivers greater interoperability and allows for easy upgrade and replacement without the need to dismantle the entire signage system.

“Axiomtek’s OPS860-HM OPS-based signage box player measures 200mm wide x 30mm high x 119mm deep, is a space saving player designed to be plugged into any OPS compliant display. The signage module enables digital signage manufacturers to simplify installation, maintenance and deployment of systems faster at lowest costs,” said Robert Wang, Director of Sales & Marketing of the Digital Signage Business Unit at Axiomtek. “The affordable OPS860-HM provides superb graphics performance, full HD content playback, and dual display presentations. It is designed to meet the various challenges of today's digital signage requirements.”

Pluggable HDD tray and easy-to-change DRAM are for quick and easy installation. One 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet, two high-speed USB 2.0 ports and one VGA port round out the I/O set. In addition to rich I/O feature, one PCI Express Mini Card slot is equipped for graphics-enhanced video card, wireless LAN card for 802.11 a/b/g/n and 3G/GPRS, and tuner/AV capture card.
