Aimed at applications demanding HD images, the HD310-Q87 microATX features an Intel HD Graphics engine and is powered by a 4th generation Intel Core Processor.  Based on the Intel Q87 chipset, DFI's embedded motherboard features four DDR3/DDR3L DIMM sockets that support up to 32GB.

The motherboard supports 5.1-channel HD Audio with S/PDIF audio interface, and two Intel Gigabit LAN ports with increased transmission speed for network-intensive applications. In addition to focusing on improved graphics and computing, the motherboard provides improved I/O to fit various applications, including six COM ports, 12 USB ports, six SATA ports, one parallel connector, one LPC connector for additional COM/parallel ports, and 8-bit Digital I/O connector for device controls. The board has also been designed to offer two PCIe x16 slots (1 x16 and 1 x1 signal) and a one PCIe x4 slot. Intel Active Management Technology (iAMT9.0) is also supported by the embedded board, allowing providers to repair, and protect their networked computing assets.

The HD310-Q87 motherboard is suited to applications such as industrial control automation, medical equipment, gaming machine, telecom, POS, kiosk, and transportation.

Alongside the release of the HD310-Q87, DFI has also announced the HD330-Q87 motherboard. The Intel Q87-based microATX motherboard is designed with one PCIe x16, one PCIe x4 (1 x1 signal), one Mini PCIe, as well as two PCI.
