ARBOR Technology announces the release of the EmETX-i2304 ETX 3.02 CPU module, based on the Intel Atom processors E3800 family. For increased flexibility, six versions of the EmETX-i2304 are available in various CPU combinations, including two models which support a wide operating temperature range of -40 to + 85°C, and another variant with TDP of just 6W.

The ETX module offers a compelling entry price for the 114x95mm form factor, and the Intel Atom processors E3800 family variant features a stunning TDP from 6 to 10W. Innovations include a large L2 cache shared by multiple cores and a faster Intel HD graphics unit compared with the previous generation, turning applications into visual experiences.

The modules support the Intel Advanced Encryption Standard New Instructions set, which is more relevant than ever in practical application. This allows developers to offload particularly compute-intensive packaging and encryption routines of the well-known cryptographic algorithm AES into hardware, thereby enabling high performance encryption without putting a significant burden on the CPU cores.

The EmETX-i2304 ETX module provides up to 8GB fast DDR3L memory via one SO-DIMM socket. The integrated graphics are significantly more powerful than the previous model and support DirectX 11, OpenGL 3, OpenCL 1.2 and high-performance, flexible hardware decoding to decode even multiple high-resolution full HD videos in parallel.

Up to 2,560x1,600px with DisplayPort on the module and dual channels 24-bit LVDS, support to two independent displays. Legacy support with four PCI masters and ISA Bus is offered. Two SATA interfaces with up to 3Gb/s and one PATA channel enable fast and flexible system extensions, and four USB 2.0 ports are provided.

The RTL8105E Realtek Ethernet Controller helps with software compatibility, and an ACPI 5.0, LPC bus for easy integration of legacy I/O interfaces and Intel High Definition Audio completes the feature set. The standard EmETX-i2304 supports an already extended temperature range of -20 to +70°C, with two versions supporting an even wider temperature range of -40 to +85°C.
