An industrial-grade embedded vision system featuring PoE has been released by Axiomtek. Based on a LGA1150 socket 4th gen Intel Core i7/i5/i3 or Celeron processor, the eBOX671-885-FL features four Gigabit PoE ports, allowing for multiple cabling to cameras and any PoE power device. The PoE system is suitable for multi-camera imaging applications such as security, surveillance and optical inspection applications as well as IoT and M2M-related applications.

Featuring a system memory of up to 16GB, the system can support three independent hi-res displays and 4K resolution. For storage, the eBOX671-885-FL is equipped with dual 2.5” SATA HDD drive bays (RAID 0 & 1 supported), one CFast and mSATA. Two internal PCIe Mini Card slots and one SIM card slot allow the embedded vision system to access the internet via 3G, WiFi, GSM and LTE. Operating across a temperature range of -20 to +50ºC, the PoE system is suitable for harsh industrial environments.

I/O interfaces include two Gigabit LAN ports, four Gigabit PoE ports, four COM ports (two RS-232/422/485 ports), one digital I/O, six USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one audio, one DVI-I, one HDMI, one DisplayPort and three antenna openings. On request, a wall mount kit is available.

“The eBOX671-885-FL embedded vision system can simplify system installation and lower the maintenance costs. Thanks to its fanless design, the cost of personnel maintenance is significantly reduced as there is no need to clean or replace the air filter or fan. The PoE system comes with a wide range of I/O interfaces, enabling integration with various industrial equipment and communication with multiple devices, such as motion sensors, buttons, optical detectors, relays and lighting,” said Vincent Ji, Product Manager, Product Marketing Division, Axiomtek.

The eBOX671-885-FL embedded vision system will be available from June 2015.
