Hectronic announces Mini-ITX motherboard with the AMD Embedded G-Series platform

Hectronic, a specialist in embedded PC development and manufacturing, has announced the IX55AE Mini-ITX motherboard, based on the AMD Embedded G-Series platform with A55E Controller Hub. The AMD Embedded G-Series platform is the world's first integrated circuit to combine a low-power CPU and a discrete-level GPU into a single embedded Accelerated Processing Unit (APU). Hectronic offers the IX55AE Mini-ITX motherboard with local technical support and value added services such as BIOS and OS customization, custom system development and system integration services. The IX55AE Mini-ITX motherboard brings advantages such as excellent system performance, cutting-edge graphics, multiple dual display functions and low power consumption to embedded applications such as Digital Signage, Gaming, KIOSK, Point of Information, Infotainment and High-end HMI.
With the AMD Embedded G-Series platform, featuring an advanced AMD Radeon HD 6310/ HD 6250 graphics engine embedded, the IX55AE Mini-ITX motherboard inherits excellent graphics performance and features. There is support for DirectX 1.1, OpenGL 4.0, UVD 3.0, H.264, VC-1, MPEG-1 and DivX. Onboard multiple display I/O supports multiple dual display functions: HDMI 1.3, VGA, LVDS and eDP.

The advanced TPM 1.1/1.2 functionality is powered by an onboard Infineon SLB9635. Dual Realtek RTL8111D Ethernet controllers ensure stable gigabit LAN connections and dual remote applications by external Ethernet connectors. The Realtek ALC892 audio codec supports 5.1 + 1 channels with multiple streaming high definition audio and onboard multiple expansion slots and I/O. The IX55AE features 1 PCI-E x 4 Gen. 2, 1 Mini PCI-E, 1 CFast, 4 SATA 3.0, 4 COM, 8 USB 2.0 and 8-bit GPIO.
