Enabling access to information in a variety of workplace environments, ADLINK Technology has released the IMT-1 Android 4.2 tablet. The tablet, which is powered by the TI OMAP5432 1.5GHz dual-core ARM A15 processor, features built-in WLAN or optional WWAN. With a IP54 rating and 1.2m (with optional protective housing) drop resistance, the tablet is suitable for harsh environments.

The IMT-1 features a 10.1” capacitive touchscreen, built-in megapixel cameras on the front and rear and a Gorilla Glass display which allows it to flex without shattering or scratching. For fast connectivity in any environment, the tablet supports 802.11 a/b/g/n protocols. The tablet is supported by the data-only modem on optional high-speed 3.5G HSPA+ or 4G LTE cellular connections.

Due to the tablet's built-in WLAN and optional WWAN connectivity, it provides fast data transfer whether in the office or out in the field. When using the tablet outdoors, users are provided with clear viewing through it's sunlight-readable display. For sensitive and confidential applications, the IMT-1 features NFC reader/writer supports recognition of RFID tags (13.56 MHz) and a built-in standard SAM (Secure Access Module) slot which secures communication of encrypted data.
