AAEON Unveils the FWS-7200 Rackmount Network Appliance

AAEON announced today the FWS-7200, a 1U rackmount network appliance built around the power efficient Intel Dual-Core Atom D525 processor and Intel network controller, supporting 6 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
The Intel Dual-Core Atom D525 processor operates at 1.8GHz and supports 64-bit instruction sets and Intel Hyper-Threading Technology. The FWS-7200 features up to two pairs of LAN bypass ports for ultimate failsafe protection for enterprise Firewalls and Unified Threat Management appliances.

Additionally, the FWS-7200 features on its front panel a RS-232 COM port for console monitoring, a graphic LCM panel with customizable settings, two USB2.0 ports and two internal USB 2.0 pin headers, six Gigabit Ethernet ports, with Link/act and SpeedLED indicators. There are two onboard DDR3 800MHz SODIMM sockets for up to 4GB of memory, space for a single 3.5” SATA HDD or two 2.5” SATA HDD, and a CF-SATA socket. Internal Real Time clock, Watchdog Timer, one COM port and one internal pin header, two rear PCI slots and one onboard Mini PCI slot for expansion requirements. The FWS-7200 is low powered and works silently with dual ultra-quiet system fans.
