Designed for mission critical applications, the ECS-8000 fanless embedded system has been released by Vecow. The device offers versatile I/O connections, intelligent manageability, wide range power input, smart power protection and rugged reliability.

Powered by a Quad Core 5th generation Intel Core i7 mobile processor running with advanced Intel QM87 chipset, dual channel DDR3L 1600MHz up to 32GB memory, the ECS-8000 is 15% more productive than former generations. The system features the Intel Iris Pro 6200 graphics engine, which supports DirectX 11.2, OpenGL 4.3 and OpenCL 2.0 API, onboard VGA, DVI-D, dual DisplayPort, a eDP display interface, and up to three independent 4K Ultra HD displays.

The device features six Gigabit independent LAN ports with four IEEE 802.3at (25.5W/ 48V) PoE+ compliant, four COM RS-232/ 422/ 485, four external USB 3.0, three USB 2.0, 16 Isolated DIO, and three Mini PCIe sockets. In addition to this, the ECS-8000 is offered with two front-access 2.5” SSD/ HDD trays, two front-access SIM card sockets for 3G/4G/LTE/WiFi/GPRS/UMTS, front-access CFast socket, three SATA III, 16 GPIO, and optional SUMIT sockets. Available in fanless and cableless designs, the system features a 6-36V wide range power input with 80V surge protection, configurable ignition power control, remote power switch, and a -25 to +70°C operating temperature.

“This new generation platform brings the latest graphics architecture, enhanced CPU computing productivity and integrated system performance.” said Thomas Su, Director, Embedded System & Platform Division, Vecow. “The ECS-8000 perfectly integrates user-friendly designs, smart manageability, mobile availability, secure power protection functions, rugged reliability and leading performance to meets the needs from performance driven embedded applications.”
