Penta Adlink Technology’s MLC 4-21 medical panel PC aims to set a benchmark in the field of 100% hygienic medical PCs with all-round IP65-protection. The performance of the EN60601-1- and EN60601-1-2-compliant PCs has been increased significantly in comparison to its predecessors. Three independent high resolution screens can be controlled, offering increased performance at lower overall systems costs.

The 21.5" panel PCs weigh less than 10kg and can be mounted onto conventional ceiling supply systems with no need for any special mounting kit. At a depth of just 77mm, the flat PCs deliver superior ergonomics over previous systems.

Due to robust construction and passive cooling (free of fans, cooling slots or any type of cooling fins), a high level of fail-safe operation is ensured, enabling reliable, error-free and long-term deployment even under the most critical environmental conditions. Applications can be found in point-of-care scenarios such as in operating theatres, emergency rooms, intensive care units, quarantine stations, clean rooms and patient-near laboratory diagnostics.

Further to this, as a service, Penta Adlink integrates their medical PCs into OEMs’ medical solutions. Thanks to the IP65 protection, the systems are completely dust-proof and protected from water jets from all angles. The systems come with a toughened glass front which can be disinfected with any medical cleaning agent.

The latest 4th gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with quadcore technology provide high-quality graphics and computing performance in the MLC 4-21. With up to 16GB of memory, the panel PCs can operate multiple programmes simultaneously with no compromise in performance. The 21.5" display delivers full HD resolution with 1920x1080px.

In especially demanding visualisation tasks, an optional ultra high resolution 4K display (3840x2160px) is available, which depicts even the tiniest structures. Anti-glare coating takes care of optimal readability without distracting reflections, even in direct light, for example from operating room lights.

Intuitive operation, even with surgical gloves, is made possible by the optional multi-touch screen, and a keyboard and mouse are also available. Further to this, the modular systems integrate numerous interfaces including two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 and a galvanically isolated RS232 for connecting additional input or reading devices and scanners. The PCs can also be equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth and RFID readers. Correct mounting and fixation according to medical technology guidelines is ensured by the VESA 100 standard.

The MLC 4-21 panel PCs from Penta Adlink are available currently, and for at least five years in identical system configurations. Support is offered for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 as well as customer-definable embedded Linux distributions.
