Axiomtek has launched CAPA840, its fanless 3.5” embedded single board computer based on the next-gen Intel Atom processor E3845 or E3827 featuring 1.91/1.75GHz clock speed. Two DDR3L SO-DIMM slots support system memory up to 8GB. The fanless embedded board delivers an improved level of processing and graphics performance than previous generation Intel Atom SBCs, while consuming less power.

In addition to rich onboard I/Os, the CAPA840 adopts an ZIO connector on the rear-side that integrates PCIe, USB, LPC and SMbus expansions. With excellent thermal design, the 3.5” embedded board is able to run fanless and works smooth between -20 to +70°C environments.

Axiomtek’s 3.5” SBC CAPA840 comes with advanced connectivity including two Gigabit Ethernets ports, one RS-232/422/485 port, one RS-232 port, four USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, one SATA300 interface, one audio, 8-bit programmable DIO, two full-size PCI Express Mini Cards, and one mSATA as well as an exclusive ZIO connector.

“Designed for applications such as IoT/M2M-related, industrial control, self-serve terminal, digital signage, POS and kiosk, the Axiomtek CAPA840 allows dual views through multiple display outputs of HDMI, LVDS and VGA,” said Michelle Mi, Product Manager, Product & Marketing Division, Axiomtek. “Additionally, the compact embedded SBC adopts a ZIO connector and has two PCI Express Mini Card slots for flexible custom configurations. It features VDCIN of 12 to 24V to make power input more flexible.”
