A DVP (Digital Video Protection) device, designed to deliver high quality video over unmanaged networks, has been released by VideoFlow. The DVP100X handles up to 80 streams and 80 VPN tunnels simultaneously, enabling live content to be delivered over unmanaged networks with no packet lost while nullifying the jitter caused by transiting.

Featuring IPsec, the DVP devices offers secure video connections. Three versions to the DVP100X are available: the Protector, the Sentinel and the Fortress. The Protector, which stores the packets, is a compulsory requirement. Jitter is eliminated by the Sentinel, which locks to the video stream, monitors it's health and requests packets to be resent from the Protector if necessary. The Fortress then acts as Protector and Sentinel, allowing the isolation of the distribution network from the contribution network. This decreases the required uplink bit rate for a point-to-multipoint delivery and the overhead for packet recovery, thus reducing the cost of delivery.

Mrs. Ronit Kalujny, CEO, VideoFlow, explained, "All our DVP products can be used in a mix and match manner. For example, several DVP100X Protectors can feed into one DVP1000 to gather content from many different locations. Similarly, one DVP100X Protector can distribute content to numerous DVP10X or DVP100 Sentinels. The DVP100X is designed to meet our customers' need for more cost effective, large network configurations."

Mr. Adi Rozenberg, CTO, VideoFlow, stated, "Our customers are very happy with how rock solid our live video and audio streams are going over the standard Internet. They immediately realise that VideoFlow's DVP enables them to achieve exceptional quality coupled with considerable savings unlike existing solutions. The DVP100X enables the creation of large scale networks cost effectively and the flexibility to adjust them as needs change. In addition IPsec has become an important requirement for our customers. The DVP100X enables supporting IPsec in high capacity networks."
