Desktop network appliance platform well suited for UTM and firewalls

The NA343 is a new compact network appliance from Axiomtek powered by low power Intel Celeron processor N3060 dual cores 2.48GHz Braswell SoC. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports are integrated into this unit with one pair supporting LAN bypass function.

The slim type network security appliance comes with a high bandwidth DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM slot with memory up to 8GB. It also offers one 2.5” SATA slot, one CFast (default) socket and one optional mSATA for storage options. This desktop Intel Braswell SoC industrial network appliance can be easily used to meet different application uses. The Axiomtek NA343 is well suited for VPN, content filtering, UTM, network security gateways and firewalls.

“Axiomtek’s NA343 can be applied for high density payload situations with excellent low power design. It aims to provide SOHO customers a cost effective and durable network appliance product to meet different requirements. The network communication system is powered by a dual core Intel Celeron processor N3060 which improves power and efficiency to provide outstanding performance.

“To enhance reliability, the industrial network platform supports data protection via latch type LAN bypass function for fail-over option and features BIOS redirection to console port. Its front bezel and chassis colour can be customised based on customer demands. It also has acquired FCC Class B and CE Class B certifications. The NA343 combines the slim design, which is only 44 x 231.9 x 152mm in size, for use in condition limited environments,” said Joyce Wu, Product Manager at Axiomtek.

The power efficient NA343 features one 2.5” SATA hard drive and one CFast socket for extensive storage options. One PCI Express Mini card is available for wireless (Wi-Fi/3G/LTE) card installations. Other I/O features include one RJ-45 console port and two USB 3.0 ports. The front facing LED indicators are available for convenient monitoring of power, LAN and HDD activity. The industrial security appliance also supports mainstream Win7, WES7, Win8, WE8S and Linux operating systems.
