Desktop hardware platform targets SMB environments

Designed for network service applications in SMB environments, the PL-80720 desktop hardware platform has been introduced by WIN Enterprises. The platform, which supports a Cavium OCTEON III CN7010 processor, features onboard DDR3L memory up to 4GB.

The OCTEON III CN7010 is a single-core SoC processor that includes a rich set of I/O interfaces including PCIe, 8x GbE LAN ports with additional bypass, 10GbE, USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0. This processor features Cavium's 4th gen application hardware acceleration and hardware virtualisation. The standard desktop device comes equipped with an onboard eMMC flash, a boot device, and has space reserved for an optional slim-type 2.5" SATA HDD.

In addition to eight RJ45 LAN ports, the PL-80720 features one pair bypass function, all of which are accessible from the rear panel. The rear panel also features two USB 2.0 ports, a RJ-45 console port and LED indicators for monitoring power and storage activities. In addition, the platform is offered with two mini-PCIe slots. The device is RoHS, FCC and CE compliant.
