Axiomtek introduced the iCON-78000 series of industrial harden managed PoE Ethernet switches with a wide operating temperature range (-40°C ~ +75°C) for extreme environment used. The iCON-78000 series not only features eight PoE ports, but also provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 10/100base-FX ports, allowing high speed communications for many different industrial applications.
Supporting Power-over-Ethernet on ports 1 to 8, the iCON-78000 series can power IEEE802.3af compliant devices and transmit data simultaneously, which helps save wiring costs and makes it ideally suited for outdoor applications such as PoE IP camera, PoE Access Point and intercoms. To provide non-stop Ethernet connection, the iCON-78000 series supports α-Ring technology which provides fast network recovery within 15ms. Their compact size with DIN-rail mounting allows for easy installation into control cabinets. The iCON-78000 series provides a flexible and cost effective solution for device manufacturers to speedily transform existing devices.

Axiomtek’s iCON-78000 series supports advanced features such as 802.1Q VLAN, port trunking, IGMP snooping, rapid spanning tree for redundancy, QoS for priority queuing, and port mirroring. Users may choose among SNMP/RMON, web browser, or telnet for remote monitoring and configuration. The iCON-78000 series also supports rate control, which allows users to set the maximum bandwidth on each port individually. The rugged and intelligent device comes equipped with a 48 VDC redundant power input via a terminal block or power jack, and is secured with Power Polarity Reverse and an Overload Current Resettable Fuse. Furthermore, the iCON-78000 series meets Safety Agency requirements and has passed heavy industrial EMI/EMS testing.

“Axiomtek’s extremely rugged iCON-78000 managed PoE Ethernet switches are widely used in security surveillance applications in heavy-duty environment. The iCON-78000 series can be used to power IEEE802.3af compliant powered devices through an Ethernet cable eliminating the need for additional wiring. The compact metal housing with an IP30 rating helps dissipate heat efficiently and protects against the dust and dirt. Using an SNMP management console, MIS administrator can managed the switches everywhere. Our iCON-78000 industrial PoE Ethernet switches keep your industrial Ethernet applications running non-stop” said Philip Wei, Product Manager of Applied Computer & Network Device Business Unit at Axiomtek.

For ease of maintenance, the iCON-78000 series features front-facing LED indicators that provide link activity, transmission speed, and PoE output status. To fit various application requirements, the device can be DIN-rail, panel, or rack mounted. These RoHS compliant products are available now.
