Avalue Technology has gained a good result as stepping into the field of ruggedized system. Recently Avalue released a series of new rugged embedded system, ERS- series, which is used in vehicles, industrial machines, and military equipments. The ERS-series is anti-vibration/shock certified and wide temperature bearable. Its modular concept and exclusively mechanical design facilitate conveniences for users.
Rapid Heat-Dissipation

So far the ERS-series products include ERS-945, ERS-PNV and ERS-AT270, adopting Intel® Core™ 2 Duo, Core™ Duo, Atom™ D510 dual-core, and Atom™ N270 low power processors respectively. The fanless structure of thermal design contains passive aluminum heat dissipation fins on top of chassis. Inside a 3.5-inch single-board-computer and hard disk are put in horizontal way to improve the cooling efficiency. These not only reduce material wastage, but also prolong product lifetime.

Industrial Rigorous Certification

The reliability and stability of ERS systems are certified by industrial product quality tests, including anti-vibration of up to 5 Grms, and anti-shock of up to 50 Grms tests. The CF slot comes with a secure metal piece to prevent loose. Using a lockable or industry-grade Phoenix Type power connector plug supports a stable +9V to +32V wide voltage input (optional). These conditions include using computer in industrial equipments and machines like lifting gantry or forklift; on land transportations such as trains, thus extending and diversifying its applications.

Service Window Design

The chassis of ERS-series is set a service window on the bottom cover of system for a maintenance purpose thanks to the level deployment of internal board and hard drive. Through this window users can directly change the hard drive or memories. Thus there is no more confusing cable issue, neatness and easy to upgrade instead.

Modular Design for Requests

ERS systems come with fine expansions, including USB, COM, SATA, CF, VGA, DVI, TV-out, dual Ethernets and 5.1-channel audio. An internal Mini PCIe expansion function can satisfy the requests for telematics or wireless networking. In additions, up to three COM ports can be added in front on demand, as well as a WiFi module. These features meet a wide array of multi-equipment industrial control serial port connectivity usages, fulfilling current market requirements.
