Amplicon’s Data Communications Group has recently expanded its ANE (Amplicon Networking Essentials) range of low-cost Industrial Ethernet switches with the addition of an all Gigabit switch and media converter. The ANE-401G is an entry level ‘all gigabit’ 4 port switch and media converter in one. It is ideal for connecting high bandwidth devices in harsh environments thanks to its -40 to +75°C operating temperature and shock & vibration approvals. IP CCTV and high speed data acquisition applications are two primary targets for the ANE-401G.
The product has 1 x SFP slot for fibre-optic connectivity using multimode or single-mode SFPs for 1000 Base SX or 1000 Base LX communications. Fibre can be used in long range (greater than the standard 100m limit of Ethernet) or EMI sensitive applications.

The unit is supplied with DIN-rail and wall mount brackets meaning that the ANE-401G can be securely installed making your finished system much more professional than if a consumer Ethernet switch were used. A wide ranging 12 to 48Vdc input provides flexible powering options and an alarm output provides an out-of-band alert if a cable is unplugged or one of the redundant power inputs fails.
