American Industrial Systems Inc. (AIS), introduced a 15 IP67 NEMA 4 Panel PC designed for Military, Transportation, and Aerospace Applications. The AIS Military Panel PC is completely sealed to IP67 / NEMA 6 rated standards for water and dust protection, capable of operating in the harshest environments including water submersion. In additional to sealing the display is complaint with MIL-STD-810F rating for vibration, shock, and drop for in vehicle applications. A touchscreen HMI interface is built-in for easy user control and monitoring. The military embedded computer system display is optically bonded with surface treatments to improve contrast by eliminating mismatched reflective layers and to improve readability in direct sunlight.
Powering the military grade computer is a high performance fanless 1.6 Ghz Intel® Atom™ processor, designed for long product life cycle and reliable operation in harsh conditions. A high brightness 800 nit sunlight readable LCD panel combined with an optically bonded touchscreen with anti-moisture treatment is standard, providing sharp crisp images in outdoor applications. Optical bonding eliminates the possibility of condensation forming between the touchscreen and display, providing optical characteristics for wet and humid environments.

A rugged corrosion resistant aluminum alloy housing protects the internal components; meeting Military Standard 810F specs for anti-shock and vibration requirements. Specialized weatherproof connectors are used for input output connections, which are all rated to IP67 standards, maintaining the sealing integrity of the system. The ruggedized system is capable of withstanding -20 to 60 degrees Celsius wide operating temperatures which is ideal for outdoor environments. AIS’ commercially available touchscreen military grade pc system provides a cost effective, long life cycle system for military, transportation, aerospace, construction, and industrial applications where performance and reliability are paramount.
