AAEON Releases A Light and Ultra Slim Embedded Controller: AEC-6620

AAEON has launched a brand new Embedded Controller: AEC-6620. This new embedded controller is an advanced model of the AEC-64XX series. The AEC-6620 is a low cost controller that belongs to the Fanless Intelligent Transportation series and targets the public transportation system and infrastructure in developing countries.
The AEC-6620 adopts the Intel Atom N270 processor (up to 1.6 GHz) and equips one DDR2 SODIMM (maximum 2 GB system memory). In addition, it consist of two Gigabit Ethernet ports for faster network communications and includes one internal CompactFlash slot for storage. The AEC-6620 also accommodates one RS-232/422/485 port, four USB 2.0 ports, VGA, and a Line-out to satisfy the basic demands of media broadcasting.

“For targeting the transportation market demands, the AEC-6620 provides ATX/ACPI power function and supports DC input and optional AC input to guarantee the power management. The AEC-6620 is compatible with the common Operating Systems in the market, such as Windows XP Pro Embedded, Windows XP Embedded, Windows 7 and Linux. The fanless AEC-6620 integrates an ultra slim size with excellent heat spreading features, high reliability, and flexible I/O interfaces.
