The LS-377 3.5” SBC from BVM is an outstanding platform for high-performance systems for industrial control and automation, retail, gaming, print imaging and digital signage applications. Based on the Intel QM57 chipset, the LS-377 supports the latest 64-bit, dual-core Intel mobile 32nm Core i7/i5/i3 processors in the rPGA988A socket. All versions are energy efficient, the memory controller and graphics core on the processor die giving a two-chip system architecture that requires less power than previous three-chip platforms. Intel turbo boost and hyper-threading technology optimise performance to match the system workload, further contributing to reducing the power requirements.
The SBC is feature-rich: up to 4GB of DDR3 system memory with an 800 or 1066MHz FSB data rate supports the fast processors, while the integrated VGA and DVI interfaces and Realtek ALC888 high definition audio Codec provide impressive A/V performance. Mass storage is provided via two SATA II 300MB/s interfaces with RAID 0 and 1 support, I/O includes six USB2.0 ports, a Gigabit LAN port, Mini-PCI and Mini-PCIe extended interface sockets and a 24-bit dual channel LVDS interface. A programmable 8-bit GPIO interface and a 256-level watchdog timer are also provided. The unit is powered from a single line 9 to 24V external DC source.
