To optimise networking and virtualisation performances, Lanner has introduced a highly integrated 14-nm BGA SoC based 1U rackmount network security appliance NCA-4010. Designed with optimisation capabilities at mid-range tier, NCA-4010 is driven by the Intel Xeon processor D-1518 (4-core).

It also driven by Intel Xeon processor D1548 (8-core) 14nm CPU, codenamed Broadwell-DE to deliver high networking performance, large memory, external crypto accelerator and a scalable LAN configuration. The 14nm SoC integrates a platform control hub and delivers powerful memory capacity with DDR4 support and an error correction control data integrity capability. NCA-4010 is designed with 4 x DDR4 DIMM with each supporting up to 32GB, so the total memory of NCA-4010 supports up to 128GB.

In addition, this mid-level networking appliance supports an external accelerator add-on card for cryptographic acceleration and compression. The platform design of NCA-4010 is purposely targeted on networking and virtualisation applications for enhanced performance at mid-level ownership cost.

Designed for networking capability, NCA-4010 supports up to sixteen RJ-45 GbE LAN ports (8 ports by default; 8 ports by NIC module option) to enable high bandwidth. For data storage, NCA-4010 supports a mSATA socket built-in on the motherboard. Regarding system expansion, NCA-4010 provides a PCIe expansion for riser card or NIC module. With the scalable I/O benefits and the platform advantages, NCA-4010 is the optimal appliance for mid-level, networking related applications.
