The next-gen USB Type-C connectors from JAE for mobile phones, various PC, and imaging devices feature a reversible plug orientation that enables insertion and removal without minding front and back of the plug. Distributor Rutronik will offer the products one by one as soon as they are developed.

The USB Type-C connector series DX07 is compliant with Universal Serial Bus Type-C specification release 1.1 and with 10Gbps SuperSpeed communication.

It supports 5A max. power supply and features superior EMI/EMC characteristics as well as a design to secure mechanical strength of both receptacle and plug.

Its rated voltage is AC20V r.m.s. and its contact resistance is 40mΩ max. (initial), the insulation resistance is 100MΩ min. (initial).

The operating temperature ranges from -30° up to +80°C at a life time of 10,000 usages.

JAE supplements the product lines with paddle cards and E-markers as well as receptacle, available as 2 rows SMT type and as a hybrid (SMT and through-hole).

On-board type and mid-mount type will be available according to the shape of the mounting terminal. Cables with the USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 compatible Type-C plugs on the both ends, and cables with a Type-C plug on one end and a Standard A plug on the other end also come along.

Possible application markets of the DX07 series are TVs and compact LCD displays as well as mobile devices, such as mobile phones, smartphones, tablet PC, notebook PC, digital still cameras or digital video cameras.
