Power connectors offer IP65/67 protection
The Panther power connector line Positronic is for high temperature, harsh environment applications. The series is now available at Astute Electronics. This line of rugged electronic connectors is the first from the company to offer IP65/IP67 sealing capability when mated, protecting against low pressure water jets (IP65) and temporary immersion (IP67) as well as completely preventing dust ingress.
The interconnects operate reliably in temperatures up to 200degC. and also conform to EN45545, a globally recognised standard for smoke and toxicity requirements, which is a necessity for today’s rail passenger applications. The Series meets EIA-364-28F test condition IV for shock and vibration performance.
Contact current ratings are up to 35A per contact when using high conductivity versions. Physical specifications include a heavy-duty Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) insulator.
